We now have an exciting opportunity available for a skilled Offset Printer to step into a leadership position at our Silverwater site!

Your Next Opportunity:

As our Lead Offset Printer, you’ll have the opportunity to take charge of our state-of-the-art machinery and lead a talented team of professionals to produce high-quality printed materials that consistently meet our clients’ exact specifications.

• Operational Leadership: Lead and guide the press team, ensuring smooth operations, and adhering to production schedules.
• Plate Run Management: Read and comprehend plate runs, ensuring that all specific instructions are meticulously followed.
• Resource Coordination: Organise and ensure that the press team has plates and paper ready for upcoming jobs, optimising workflow efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Take responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of print quality. Address and resolve any issues promptly, including hickey or print faults.
• Training and Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing training and mentorship to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee routine maintenance of machinery and coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operation.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and industry regulations are strictly followed to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Production Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction while maintaining product quality.

The Tools You'll Need:

To be considered for this position, you’ll be a qualified and highly skilled Offset Printer with prior demonstrated experience in a similar role that utilised sheet-fed offset printing. Previous leadership experience or the demonstrated ability to provide additional resources to staff members will be highly regarded.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a commitment to continuous improvement. You’ll be a team player, with a can-do attitude and the ability to roll your sleeves up and help other members of the team to get the job done. Your expertise in offset printing techniques and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our customers.

Although not essential, a Forklift license will be highly regarded.
